Don’t let the world overpower you.

“Hey, what actually happened that day?”, a friend asked, and that led to so many overlapping thoughts. Thoughts got entangled along with the present scenario that we start looking for pieces in the present time. Many of us try to overcome all these questions, and thoughts but somehow we aren’t able to walk through it without draining away my energies, emotions, and control of our day. This has happened to a lot of us, and a lot of us don’t know how to overcome this.

According to the recent status, 73 percent of the young population( 25–35 years of age) has this problem. Many of us are aware of how painful it can be sometimes. Don’t we all feel like taking a break from ourselves, and just wander out, where we don’t have to ponder about anything. We have been told to shut our mouth, but nobody has told us how to shut our minds. I won’t be dwelling into how to overcome overthinking but I will tell you how to navigate it when it happens.

Let’s relate to our childhood, how many of us remember days when we were sitting and revisiting narratives with different if’s and what’s, I don’t remember one, do you? Assuming it to be ‘No’, we don’t realize but many of our difficult answers lie in our childhood. Remember how we used to look at things with curiosity, and wanted to understand it rather than judging it. Whenever it’s getting too much on our head & heart, we have to listen to our inner child, and who will say, ‘ hey don’t worry, let’s have some chocolate, and play something’. As a child, we never wanted to control things but wanted to create things such as paintings, from waste, fashion costume, and many more. As we grow, we become more of consumers, and less of creators. Creation is a dialogue between what we see inside of us, and outside; let your thoughts flow freely, and let your heart become light. One shouldn’t see for perfection as it asks us to paint our thoughts which doesn’t belong us; create which belongs to you solely. I’m not saying it will solve the problem of overthinking, but all I’m saying it will make your heart light, and thoughts clear for some moments of the day.

It’s a battle with ourselves and for ourselves. Remember you aren’t in this alone, so when you will feel like this ever again, just get up, listen to your favorite music, and have a cup of your favorite beverage. My personal favorite is a cafe late, and next time if I ever feel attacked by my past, I shall acknowledge and would consciously ask my friend to play with me.

Don’t let anything overpower you, because it’s us at the end of the day, and we need to take care of our small heart and keep it protected.

I’m going to make my coffee now, how about you?
