Love is meant to scare us!

Does love really means to make us feel good or does it also give us the light to walk on the right path after lots of scars? Maybe I know or maybe I don’t know. I guess love is really meant to scare us. The reason I’m saying this is because we humans in general do not appreciate the things which comes easy to us, so how could we assume love would find it’s way at the door directly? if it were easy, then it wouldn’t be a worth working for or craving for. It wouldn’t be our collective effort to try again or take leap of faith, after every heartbreak. The heartbreak that comes with it change our personality, character, perception or just us; it’s just a part of life. Maybe this makes our life even more beautiful and worth writing poems about it. Love is a paradox in itself, it breaks us to the every last piece but also it help us heal. It help us to look at the world in various colours; colours which not only define the fairy tale in our heart. Love is a one of the highest leap of faith which we take in this world of living and dying. We allow a stranger to become a part of our live, a life which we haven’t explored yet, a place which haven’t touched yet, words we haven’t spoken yet…yet we allow someone to take the lead of it with just ‘trust’ every time.

Everytime I wonder do we even have a choice here? Do we? I doubt. Let’s take a moment here, and remember when did we fall for love. Was our heart under control? Was our feelings under control? No matter how hard we tried to suppress, we eventually had to accept the feeling of love. When love happens, it happens with element of surprise with no warning. We let our heart’s open and take someone else heart as our own. Their burden becomes ours, their dreams become ours, their happines becomes ours. All of sudden we become overprotective about someone like we known them since ages. We all try to save them from this cruel world, and hope that ‘us’ survive despite all differences and similarties. We all hope our love strive in storms.

Love isn’t about black and white. Love is all about gray area. Everyone has their own personal experience. Just like we say grief is personal, love is also personal. We can’t stop anyone from loving someone not matter what are the circumstance and to your surprise, friend, you can’t even stop yourself. Love is scared place to take the first step, yet it’s the most dangerous and beautiful feeling in the world. Maybe that’s the beauty of love. With every up, down and space in between, one thing which is always worth fighting for is love.
